Empties (Skin Care) - Spring

HI my friends. First of all I want to wish you all a great Summer and say goodbye Spring. Every season (or month if I will have many empty bottles) I will make an empties post sharing my personal opinion on used products. For today, let's begin with skin care products.

Spring is definitely a cleaning month because the sun is mild and we can do a lot of chemical peels and treatments. And all that starts with a clear skin.

As you can see I finished 2 eye makeup removers:

  • Nivea double effect eye makeup remover and Garnier Express 2in1 eye makeup remover - both have a two-phase formula for removing waterproof makeup. I like this type of makeup removers because they are the most effective. I really don't see a difference between these 2, they do the job very well, the price is affordable and you can find them in the markets and drugstores. You have to shake very well so the both parts are fully mixed, apply on a cotton ball and gently cleanse the eye makeup (no rubbing!!!).

  • La Roche-Posay thermal spring water - my must have for over the past 4-5 years. I always have a mini bottle in my bag, and a medium or big one on my vanity. I will not go into the details of the benefits of thermal water because there are a lot of information on the Internet. Basically, it's water with lots of minerals and antioxidants, that you spray on the face or body when you need to refresh the skin, before toner, after sun, after shaving or to set the makeup. I tried different brands of thermal water (Avene, Vichy, Uriage) but always go back to La Roche-Posay because it suits perfectly my skin type and I like the fine mist. If you have dry skin I suggest to try the Avene thermal water.

  • Babor Cleansing Toner - it's a gentle toner for combination-oily skin. I don't expect much from a toner and I switch them often. It's an OK toner, will repurchase maybe if I don't find something better (I have 3 more toners to finish). I have combination and sensitive skin and it's hard to find products that will not irritate my skin. This toner is very gentle, removes the dirt and helps fight the inflammations. It also claims to tight pores, but I don't think a toner can do that (there are serums and masks for that). Babor is a German brand that I like and occasionally buy different products for skin care. We have a store in my country were I buy the products and I know you can find them at spa salons. I don't know if you can find the products online, so that is a downside.

Wish you all a wonderful week and stay tuned for more empties reviews ( Body Care, Hair Care and makeup).
